Spiced Apple and Plum Natural Jam

This recipe is what follows from my Spiced Apple and Plum Summer’s Drink easy to make and you will love the taste, a must have at your holiday breakfast table.

A favourite jam for me at breakfast as it has the right content of natural sweetness and acidity to to kick start the day, why not use it also to accompany a nice cup of organic yoghurt, try it today!

Prep time: 1 hour

Ingredients:

12 small super ripe plums

4 red apples

2 Cinnamon Sticks

3 Star Anise

4 Tbsp of natural sweetener such as Stevia or Cane Sugar

Method:

Wash fruit thoroughly, dice into quarters and bring into a 4 litre cooking pot, big enough to fit in all fruit, fill with water and set it to boil for 5 minutes and simmer on medium heat for 20 minutes.

Set it aside to cool down for at least an hour before separating the liquid and fruit to your favourite glass jar or glass containers.

Once you’ve placed the fruits in a sealed glass container cover the surface of the fruit with honey just enough to seal the top of it, once all covered blend it all in and stir until properly blended, bring to fridge to cool and to set for at least an hour before spreading.

 

Serve for an addition to a delicious breakfast and or at your holiday breakfast table.
